In Parliament, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said Bangladesh has the capability to manufacture and export corona vaccines to other countries.

She made the remarks while participating in a discussion on a resolution tabled in Parliament on Monday to thank UNESCO for introducing the award in Creative Economy on Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The Prime Minister said during her recent visit to the United Kingdom and France, she had told world leaders that Bangladesh wanted to develop a coronavirus vaccine and that Bangladesh should be allowed to do so.

"I told them to remove all obstacles to the development of coronavirus vaccine in Bangladesh," she said.

"It is a human right, it should be proclaimed as universal welfare."

The Prime Minister said Bangladesh will make vaccines if given the opportunity. Because we have that ability. The government has already allotted a plot of land for this purpose.

"We can supply the world with vaccines," she said.

Sheikh Hasina said Bangladesh has gained worldwide recognition for its success in tackling Corona.
