Mass vaccination drive for second dose to start

The second dose of mass vaccination campaign against the novel coronavirus has been started from Tuesday morning.

The vaccination will be conducted from 9 am to 5 pm in all the city corporation areas of the city starting from the village union level.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare confirmed the matter through a press release.

On July 8, the first dose of the nationwide mass vaccination program began. Under this program, 50 lakh 71 thousand people across the country took part in the mass vaccination and received the first dose of the vaccine.

The Red Crescent Society is working to make the immunization program successful.

'Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers don't need SMS'

According to the Department of Health, even if pregnant women do not receive an SMS, they can go to a registered center and get vaccinated.

However, the ANC card or the specialist doctor's advice, which will be mentioned that she is pregnant, should be taken. Breastfeeding women can also receive the vaccine without SMS.
