Doctor is in ICU after taking corona vaccine in Mexico

A young Mexican doctor has been hospitalized after falling ill after being vaccinated with Pfizer-Bioentech's Covid-19. The matter is being investigated by the Mexican authorities. However, the name of the doctor was not mentioned.
A 32-year-old female doctor developed convulsions, shortness of breath and red spots on her skin after receiving the Pfizer vaccine, Reuters reported. The doctor was admitted to the intensive care unit of a government hospital in the northern Mexican province of Nuevo Len.
The Mexican doctor's health ministry said in a statement on Friday night that "preliminary tests indicate he has encephalomyelitis."
The health ministry said in a statement that the doctor already had allergies. The statement claimed that no evidence of brain inflammation had been found in previous clinical trials after the vaccine was administered.
Meanwhile, no immediate comment was received from Pfizer-Bioentech.
One million 26 thousand people have died in Corona in Mexico so far. Corona vaccination for health workers began in the first phase on December 24 in the country.
