Lieutenant General Mike Rouleau, Canada's second-in-command of the military, has resigned after being criticized for playing golf with former Canadian defense chief General Jonathan Vance. Jonathan Vance is under investigation for sexual harassment.

This was reported by the British media British Broadcasting Corporation.

Going to play with the person under investigation raises the question of whether the investigation may be disrupted, or whether there may be a lack of trust among members of the military. But Mike Rouleau says he invited General Vance to play so he could stay healthy. There was no talk of an investigation between them during the game.

Lieutenant General Mike Rouleau was in charge of investigating the sexual harassment allegations against General Vance.

Mike Rouleau, however, acknowledges that his actions have contributed to a lack of confidence in the military and have affected recent developments in the military.

Lieutenant General Mike Rouleau recently played golf with General Vance and Canadian Navy Chief Vice Admiral Craig Baines in Ottawa on June 2, according to two local newspapers.

On Sunday, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Navy Chief Vice Admiral Craig Baines and the Army's second-in-command, Lieutenant General Mike Rouleau, must be held accountable.

Mike Rouleau decided to resign after drawing the attention of the Prime Minister. However, he urged the naval chief not to face any accountability.

Navy Chief Vice Admiral Craig Bains also apologized in a statement yesterday for taking part in the golf game that day.

Former Secretary of Defense General Jonathan Vance retired last January. He is being investigated for allegedly sexually harassing an unidentified woman, including Major Kelly Brennan. He has always denied allegations of harassment.
