Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has said that BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam should jump into the Bay of Bengal.

He made the remarks in response to a question from reporters after the 111th board meeting of the Bangladesh Bridge Authority at Setu Bhaban in the capital Mohakhali on Wednesday, May 11th.

On the Sri Lanka issue, the BNP secretary general recently said that the Awami League-led government would have a similar situation. When asked about the reaction of the journalists, Obaidul Quader said that Mirza Fakhrul failed in the election. The movement also failed.

‘Can’t hold a conference on time. He should resign. He needs to jump into the Bay of Bengal. Fakhrul, why are you still in charge?' said Quader.

Obaidul Quader said that some political parties in Bangladesh are complaining about the situation in Sri Lanka. He said that the reality of Bangladesh and Sri Lanka is not the same. The BNP is hiding behind various issues to cover up its failure.
