College students missing case, arrested 4

A case has been filed in connection with the disappearance of three college students from Pallabi in the capital. Police later arrested four people, including a girl.

Advocate Kazi Raushan Dil Afroz, sister of missing student Kazi Dilkhush Jannat Nisar, filed the case in Pallabi Police Station on Saturday night October 2. She filed the case under the Women and Child Abuse Prevention Act.

The accused in the case are Md. Tariqullah (19), Md. Rakibullah (20), Zinnia alias Tiktak Zinnia (18), Sharfuddin Ahmed Ayan (18). Besides, 4/5 people were made unknown accused in the case.

Investigating officer of the case and Sub-Inspector (SI) of Pallabi Police Station Sajib Khan said the case was registered at the police station around 9 pm on October 2. So far 4 accused have been arrested.

He said, "Rakibullah, who was arrested during interrogation, said that the three college students were planning to go abroad. We are continuing our rescue operation."

The three missing college students are Kazi Dilkhush Jannat Nisa, Kaniz Fatema, and Sneha Akhter. They are HSC second-year students. Among them, Dilkhush studied at Mirpur Girls Ideal Laboratory Institute, Sneha at Pallabi Degree College, and Kaniz at Duari Para College. They are each other's friends.

On the morning of September 30, the three college students left their home with money, gold ornaments, mobile phones, and education certificates. They never came back later. Police could not rescue them for 3 days in a row.

The mother of one of the three students lodged a written complaint in the Pallabi police station on Friday, October 1.
