'Bangladesh will get another 3 million Moderna vaccines'

Earl R. Miller, the US Ambassador to Dhaka, has announced that Bangladesh is going to get another 3 million doses of Moderna vaccine.

In a tweet on Saturday, Miller said, "These vaccines will be provided to Bangladesh through Covax as a gift from the American people. The United States is committed to providing vaccines to address the Corona situation in Bangladesh and around the world."

Earlier, in the first week of July, Bangladesh received its first shipment of 2.5 million doses under Covax.

Meanwhile, a consignment of 2 million dose vaccine purchased from Sinopharm is expected to arrive in Bangladesh on Saturday night.

Deputy chief of the Chinese embassy in Dhaka, told that the vaccines would arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on two flights. In addition, an additional 1 million doses of vaccine will also come as a gift.
