3 killed in Bagerhat road accident

At least three motorcyclists were killed when a motorcycle lost control and collided with a roadside electric pole in the Moukhali area of ​​Bagerhat, Mongla on Wednesday night.

The deceased are local furniture trader Jahangir Hossain's son Bayezid (22), nephew Shakib (20), and shop employee Zakaria (20).

Mongla Police Station OC Bikash Chandra Ghosh said a motorbike lost control and collided with an electric pole on the side of the road in the Moukhali area on Wednesday night.

The three riders of the motorcycle fell on the pitch road and sustained serious bloody injuries on various parts of the body including the head, arms, and legs. They died on the spot due to severe injuries and bleeding.

Later, when the pedestrians took them to the Upazila Health Complex, doctor Afsana Naima Hasan declared them dead.

The bodies of the deceased will be sent to the morgue of Bagerhat Sadar Hospital on Thursday morning for autopsy, police said.

Mourning is going on at the house of furniture trader Jahangir over the death of his son, nephew, and employee in that accident.
