Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has arrested two persons along with drugs like Crystal Meth Ice and Yaba and foreign pistols at Teknaf Naf river border in Cox's Bazar. One of them is a citizen of Myanmar and the other is a Bangladeshi.

They were arrested on Friday.

The detainees are Deen Mohammad, 40, son of late Abdur Rahim of Mochni area of ​​Nhilla union of Teknaf, and Badi Alam, 30, son of late Lal Miah of Shia Kandang area of ​​Maungdaw police station in the Rakhine state of Myanmar.

Lieutenant Colonel Sheikh Khalid Mohammad Iftekhar, commander of BGB Battalion-2 in Teknaf, told the media that the drugs and weapons were recovered during a raid in the Jaliya Island area near Damdamiya in Nhilla Union of Teknaf Upazila this morning.

He said, “One of the detainees is a Rohingya citizen of Myanmar and the other is a Bangladeshi citizen. Detained Bangladeshi national Deen Mohammad is a listed human trafficker.

He also said that a case has been filed against the detainees at Teknaf police station.
