Body of a drug accused recovered in Narayanganj

The body of a young man named Jihad Mia (25) has been recovered from Sonaragaon Upazila of Narayanganj. He was hacked to death, police said.

The deceased was identified as Jihad Mia, son of Nahid Mia of the Kanchpur Uttarpara area of ​​the Upazila.

Police said that there were several cases against him including drugs.

The body was recovered from Kanchpur of the Upazila around 4 am on Monday. The body was later sent to Narayanganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Sonargaon Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Hafizur Rahman said, "We recovered Jihad's body after receiving information from the locals. The victim had multiple sharp weapon marks on his head and legs. The exact cause of death will be known after the autopsy."

Regarding the motive for the killings, he said there were multiple cases against Jihad, including drug, robbery, and snatching.

Jihad is thought to have been hacked to death in a clash between his comrades over money or something. An investigation is underway. Details will be revealed after the investigation. The case is being prepared. No arrests have been made so far
