Nepal resumed on-arrival visa service subject to conditions

International Desk
The government of Nepal is going to re-launch the 'Visa on Arrival' service for tourists. The government has suspended the service for tourists since March last year due to the Corona pandemic.

According to Nepal's national daily The Himalayan, the Nepalese government last year banned tourists from entering Nepal without taking both doses of the vaccine through the Infectious Diseases Control Act-2020. According to them, the government of the country imposed a ban on the tourists who were not vaccinated to prevent the pandemic.

The law stipulates that both doses of the vaccine must be given at least 14 days before the trip to Nepal, and that vaccination documents must be shown at the airport.

The government of Nepal further said that tourists will be allowed trekking and mountaineering along with an on-arrival visa only if they can properly display the vaccination documents at the airport.
