Ongoing restrictions on the control of novel coronavirus infections have been extended until midnight on August 10. The Cabinet Division has issued a notification in this regard on Thursday.

Deputy Secretary of the Field Administration Coordination Branch of the Cabinet. The circular, signed by Rezaul Islam, said the ongoing lockdown was extended from 12 noon on August 5 to 12 noon on August 10 in view of the coronavirus infection Covid-19.

The notification further said that the industry would be exempted from the restrictions and would operate on domestic routes following hygiene rules.

Due to the deteriorating situation in Corona, restrictions have been in place since July 23. The government initially declared it a "severe lockdown" but reopened export-oriented industries, including garment factories, from August 1 in response to demands from traders.

At a high-level meeting of the government on August 3, it was decided to extend the existing restrictions in the country for another five days till August 10. It was also informed at the meeting that public transport, launches and trains will run in rotation mode from August 11. At the same time, it was decided to open shops and businesses subject to hygiene and vaccination.
