'Stay away from the political blame game'

Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has said that it is the responsibility and duty of everyone to refrain from the political blame game in this crisis. He made the remarks at a regular briefing at his official residence here on Wednesday, May 26 in the morning.

Obaidul Quader said, "The BNP is creating a reign of terror, not the government. As they did in 2001."

The general secretary of the Awami League also said that after coming to power in 2001, the BNP government ran a steamroller of torture on the people of the country.

Obaidul Quader said the BNP-Jamaat alliance government had turned the country into a valley of death with the blood of thousands of Awami League leaders and activists.

Obaidul Quader called upon the BNP leaders to look at themselves in the mirror.

Obaidul Quader also said that BNP was directly and indirectly involved in the terror and violence that Hefazat carried out in different parts of the country on March 26 with the aim of destabilizing the country. He said the BNP had earlier directly and indirectly helped Hefazat in creating terror with the aim of destabilizing the country even on the issue of sculpture.

Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader said the BNP was directly and indirectly involved in all the attempts to destabilize the country.
