Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has said that BNP leaders are saying whatever they want to keep their party strong. He said they (BNP) have failed in the movement and elections. So as a responsible opposition party they should resign ‘top to bottom’ for failure.

Obaidul Quader said this in response to a question from a journalist after paying homage to Sher-e-Bangla AK Fazlul Haque at his grave on Tuesday, April 27 in the morning on the occasion of his death anniversary.

The Road Transport Minister said the keynote of Sher-e-Bangla AK Fazlul Haque's politics was to improve the common people. He was a believer in secular consciousness.

The bridge minister said many people do not work for the betterment of the people when they come to power. But Sher-e-Bangla and Bangabandhu were exceptions. Following in their footsteps, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, daughter of Bangabandhu, is doing the same thing.
