Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader said, "BNP is blaming the government. If there had been government mismanagement of the corona, how could the number of infections have dropped from 8,000 to 800 and the death toll from 112 to 40?"

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said this at a regular briefing at his official residence here on Tuesday morning.

Calling on everyone to play a responsible role in complying with the health rules, the Awami League general secretary said, "Corona will leave very soon, there is no reason to think so."

Criticizing the BNP secretary general, Obaidul Quader said, "When the government declared a lockdown or a general holiday considering the overall situation, they (BNP) tactically opposed it. The propaganda of the BNP against the vaccine to keep the people away from the vaccine has also failed. The BNP secretary general is now using various terms like shutdown and crackdown. But when the protection of human life and livelihood is given priority, they continue to pursue anti-politics."

The Awami League general secretary said that the steps taken by the Prime Minister to tackle the Corona crisis have been praised in the international arena including the United Nations, World Health Organization.
