Awami League General Secretary and Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader said, "Democracy in our country has developed to some extent. This is a slow process; there is no chance of it developing the democracy overnight."

He said this while handing over the lease documents of the plots allotted at the rehabilitation sites among the victims of the Padma Multipurpose Bridge construction project at noon on Sunday.

At the time, the minister added, "Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina wants fair elections. So everyone prepare for the election without any chaos. "

Obaidul Quader further said, "The caretaker government system banned in 2011 by a court order. The high court sent the caretaker government to the museum."
