Olivia Rodrigo
American singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo. She made history by winning three trophies this year at the Grammy for Best New Artist, Best Pop Solo Performance (for driver's license), and Best Pop Vocal Album (for her debut album Sour). But this teenage star wanted to be an Olympic gymnast back in her childhood days. The 19-year-old Los Angeles girl, named Time Magazine's 'Entertainer of the Year' in 2021, has now become a music superstar.

Rodrigo played Disney Channel's Bizaardvark as a guitarist and was cast in the 2019 Disney series 'High School Musical'. There she wrote the song 'All I Want'. Which was number 90 on the US charts. She has more attention than Disney stars like Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, and Selena Gomez.

But, this vocalist-lyricist very consciously came out of the shadows of Disney and started trying to create her own distinct identity. She used to post her work on Instagram and create a different world of her own. As a result, her fan base began to grow very quickly. She sang the cover version of Taylor Swift's song. In which the song 'Cruel Summer' is shared by Swift herself. Then Rodrigo wrote 'Deja Vu' and it became a trend.

Rodrigo's single 'Driver's License' was released in 2021. It was a turning point for this teenage star. Which brought her overnight star fame to the younger generation around the world. It broke the Spotify record and became the number one song on the Billboard Hot Hundred within a week. Billboard later dubbed it the 'Runway Hit of 2021'. Then in the middle of the year, Rodrigo released her debut album 'Sour'. Which topped the Billboard 200 charts and held the top spot for 5 consecutive weeks.
