In order to prevent coronavirus infection, the duration of the ongoing lockdown has been extended for another 7 days, i.e. till May 30.

However, all types of public transport including inter-district buses, launches and trains have been allowed to run in compliance with the health rules. At the same time, half the number of seats in hotels and restaurants can be used for seating.

Under these conditions, a notification has been issued by the Cabinet Division on Sunday, May 23.

An eight-day strict lockdown started from 6 am on April 14 to prevent Covid-19 infection. The government issued 13 instructions to comply with the lockdown. The four-point lockdown was later extended. At that time various changes were made in terms of restrictions.
