'Padma Bridge establishment to be finished by next week'

Awami League General Secretary and Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader has said that the Padma Bridge will be inaugurated next June. After that, the people of Bengal will see the moon standing on the Padma Bridge on a moonlit night, he said.

He said this while addressing a discussion meeting organized by the Bangladesh Chhatra League at the Student-Teacher Center (TSC) of Dhaka University on Saturday afternoon, May 21st. The organization arranged a discussion meeting on the occasion of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's Homecoming Day.

At that time, the Minister of Road Transport said, I will send a summary to the leader by the end of next week. She will then give time. At that time we will inaugurate the Padma Bridge.

Obaidul Quader said the World Bank withdrew its cooperation with allegations of corruption. Even though they left, we built the Padma bridge with our money. People of Bengal will see the full moon on the Padma Bridge on the moonlit night of June.
