Fire on South Africa's parliament building

A huge fire broke out at the Parliament building in Cape Town, South Africa, on Sunday.

The BBC reports citing video footage that the sky around the parliament building is covered in black smoke. And large flames were seen coming out of the roof of the building.

According to the BBC, fire service personnel are trying to control the fire at the scene. However, the cause of the fire is not yet known.

The Parliament’s Presiding Officers said investigations are underway to establish what led to the fire.
