Bangladesh will receive 1 million vaccine of Pfizer on August 30

Another 1 million doses of Pfizer vaccine will arrive in the country on the evening of August 30 as a gift from the United States.

This information was given in a press release sent from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Tuesday.

It said another 1 million doses of Pfizer vaccine would arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on August 30 at 6.15pm via Covax facilities via Qatar Airways.

Health Minister Zahid Maleque, Foreign Minister Abdul Momen and US Ambassador R. Miller will be present at the airport.

Earlier, after the cabinet meeting on August 23 at noon, the health minister said that another 6 million doses of Pfizer vaccine would be available from the United States in September. As part of that 6 million dose of vaccine, this 1 million dose of vaccine is coming to the country on August 30. The Health Minister said that 5 million more doses of Pfizer vaccine will reach the country by September.
