'Students aged 12-17 to get Pfizer vaccine'

Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque said the government has decided to bring students between the ages of 12 and 17 under the vaccination program. Pfizer vaccine will be given to students of this age.

The health minister told reporters after participating in a program organized in Manikganj on Saturday.

Zahid Maleque said, ‘We are trying to get the approval of the World Health Organization (WHO). If approved, the vaccination program for 12 to 17-year-olds will start.

Zahid Maleque added, "We are now vaccinating citizens above the age of 18. We have taken the initiative to vaccinate 12 to 17-year-olds. This number is huge. Since we are opening all kinds of educational institutions, we will also vaccinate 12 to 17-year-olds."

"Although 22 countries are already vaccinating their citizens between the ages of 12 and 18," he said. They are following their own laws and protocols in this regard.
