PM urged for research in health sector

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called upon all to abide by the restrictions imposed by the government to prevent the transmission of the deadly coronavirus.

The Prime Minister made the call while joining the inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed National Science and Technology Complex at Agargaon in the capital on Thursday morning.

In her speech, the Prime Minister mentioned the role of Bangabandhu's government in advancing the science and technology sector by emphasizing on research in all sectors including health.

However, while the BNP was in power, not connecting to submarine cables, not buying computers from Norway has ruined the country's development prospects in many ways, said Sheikh Hasina.

Referring to the state-of-the-art facilities of the National Science and Technology Complex at Agargaon in the capital, the Prime Minister said, "All the developed countries are moving towards improvement in the research. We are a little behind in health research. But trying. We will take action soon."

The Prime Minister highlighted the steps taken by her government in research in various sectors including agriculture and education. Special emphasis is placed on research in the health sector.

The Prime Minister also called upon the people to be aware of the new type of corona. Prime Minister urged to follow the hygiene rules.
