34 police inspectors transferred simultaneously

34 police inspectors working in Cox's Bazar district have been transferred simultaneously. The transferees have to leave their old workplaces by September 29 and have been asked to attend a briefing on September 30.

They were asked to appear at the police auditorium in Rajarbagh later that day.

Pekua Police Station OC Mohammad Kamrul Azam in Rangpur Range, Teknaf OC (Investigation) ABMS Doha in Khulna Range.

Besides, DSB OC (DI 1) Md. Ali Arshad in Barisal Range, Kutubdia OC AKM Shafiqul Alam Chowdhury in Khulna Range, Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station Md. Masum Khan in Khulna Range, Rommel Bara-ya CID in Dhaka, Mizanur Rahman in CID Dhaka Barisal Range, Khorshed Alam Sylhet Range, Md. Ekramul Haque Barisal Range, Mohammad Amirul Islam Rangpur Range, Manas Bara-Ya Mymensingh Range, SM Mizanur Rahman SMP Sylhet, SM Atiq Ullah Dhaka Range.

On September 21, six people, including the Additional Superintendent of Police of Cox's Bazar district, were transferred simultaneously. Earlier, Superintendent of Police ABM Masud Hossain was transferred to Rajshahi District Police.

The Cox's Bazar district police has been undergoing major reshuffles since the July 31 assassination of retired army officer Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan. There is no precedent for such simultaneous transfer of police officers in this district.
