President, PM pay homage to Liberation War martyrs

On the great Independence Day, the President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid homage at the National Memorial in Savar on Saturday. Later, the Prime Minister paid homage to the portrait of Bangabandhu at Dhanmondi-32.

Today is March 26. Great Independence and National Day. On this occasion, the President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid homage to the heroic martyrs.

The President paid homage at the National Memorial in Savar at 5:57 am today. After paying his respects, he stood there in silence for a minute.At this time a smart contingent of the armed forces saluted and a sad tune was played on the bugle.

Immediately after the President, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also paid homage. The Prime Minister stood in silence for a minute after paying her respects.

Later, Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury and Chief Justice Hasan Foez Siddique paid homage to the heroic martyrs.

Later, on behalf of the party, Awami League President Sheikh Hasina along with central leaders paid homage to the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Dhanmondi-32.
