Suffering of employee-school goers due to lack of public transport

public transport
For the third day in a row due to the increase in fuel oil prices, there is no public transport on the roads in the country including the capital. As it was the first working day of the week, the suffering increased.

Especially office-going people and school-college students have more problems. Rickshaws, CNG autorickshaws, and alternative vehicles have taken over the road.

Passengers are paying double or triple fares. Many did not find a way. So they go to work on foot. Despite the extra cost, there is also the embarrassment of not being able to reach the destination on time.

The government has re-fixed the price of diesel-kerosene in Bangladesh as well as in other countries of the world including India due to rising prices of fuel oil in the international market. The price of diesel and kerosene was hiked by Tk 15 per litre in a press release issued by the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources on Wednesday night, November 3. The new price has been increased from Tk 65 to Tk 80 at the consumer level. Which is effective from 12 o'clock that night.
