No exemption for those involved in murder of councilor: Quader

Awami League general secretary and bridge minister Obaidul Quader has said that those involved in murder of a councilor who won the municipal elections in Sirajganj will be brought to justice.
He said no concessions would be made even if the perpetrators had political identities.
The bridge minister said this while inaugurating a four-day fire safety training program on Monday, january 18 in the morning. He joined the ceremony via video conference from his official residence.
In the next step, Obaidul Quader directed the law enforcement agencies to be more strict to avoid clashes and violence in the municipal elections.
Obaidul Quader said the turnout in the second phase of the municipal elections was huge, adding that the Awami League candidates had won by a wide margin because people wanted development.
He said BNP leaders are now making false allegations.
