Rain to drench eight divisions

The meteorological office said that there is a possibility of rain in eight divisions of the country including the capital. The company also said that day and night temperature across the country could remain almost unchanged.

This information has been given in the weather forecast for the next 24 hours from 6 pm on Friday.

According to the forecast, Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Barisal, Chattogram, and most parts of Sylhet division; Some parts of Khulna and Rajshahi divisions may occur light to moderate rain/thundershowers with temporary gusts. There may also be moderate to very heavy rainfall in Chattogram, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions.

According to meteorologist Bazlur Rashid, southwest monsoon winds have spread over Bangladesh. The extension of light pressure extends from Bihar to the Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining areas to the northwestern Bay of Bengal.

He added that day and night temperatures across the country could remain almost unchanged.

In the last 24 hours, maximum rainfall of 83 mm has been recorded in Sylhet. Yesterday evening, the lowest temperature in the country was 23.5 degrees Celsius in Kumarkhali. Yesterday, the highest temperature in the country was 36.4 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi. The temperature in the capital was also 33.2 degrees Celsius.
