Thunderstorm-Rain forecast in different parts of country

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast isolated thunderstorms and rains across the country from today. At the same time, the department has also expressed fears of mild heat wave in some areas like yesterday.

Meteorologist Abul Kalam Mallick informed the matter on Saturday, April 30.

He said it is likely to rain in Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka and some parts of Sylhet and Khulna, Barisal and Chattogram in the next 24 hours. Besides, mild heat wave will blow in Tangail, Gopalganj, Faridpur, Madaripur, Rangamati and Rajshahi.

However, the temperature in these areas is likely to be slightly lower than yesterday.

In response to a question, he said, the temperature will remain normal across the country from today till May 4. Storms and thunderstorms will continue till May 4.

Basically, the weather in the country will start to change from today.

Asked about the weather on Eid day, he said, "It will be known tomorrow. But so far, according to our forecast, there is a hint of rain on Eid day. Even if it rains on Eid day, it is less likely to happen at once. There will be isolated rains in different parts of the country.

As a result, the weather in the country will be cold before and after Eid and on the Eid day.

According to the latest weather forecast, the highest temperature recorded in the country was 37.8 degrees Celsius in Jessore.
