The Meteorological Department has forecast rains in different parts of the country due to moderate monsoon over Bangladesh and moderate conditions in the North Bay.

According to a forecast issued by the Meteorological Department on Saturday, the ground pressure in West Bengal and adjoining areas is presently evident in Bihar and adjoining areas and the extension of the monsoon axis extends from Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh to the epicenter of clear light.

It extends as far as the North Bay. Due to this, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chattogram and many places in Sylhet division may experience light to moderate rain or thundershowers with temporary gusts. There may also be moderate to heavy rains in some parts of the country.

It further said that day and night temperatures across the country may get a little rain and the weather may change slightly over the next three days.

Meanwhile, the highest temperature of 33.1 degrees Celsius was recorded in the country in the last 24 hours and the minimum temperature was recorded at Sandwip, Rangamati, Cumilla, Sitakunda and Teknaf at 25 degrees Celsius.
