Law enforcers have recovered the bodies of three women and a child from Naf river in Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazar. One of them is a woman and two are children.

Hafizur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Teknaf Model Police Station, told the media that three bodies were recovered floating from Naf River in Kharangkhali area of ​​Whykong Union of the upazila around 2pm on Saturday.

‘The identities of the three bodies could not be confirmed. It was initially thought that they were Rohingya citizens. Entering Bangladesh by sea from neighboring Myanmar can lead to drowning or other causes. The age of the woman is 30 and the age of the two children can be between five and seven years, 'added the OC.

Police further said that the bodies were recovered after receiving information from the locals. Later he was brought to the police station.

According to several local sources, smuggling and infiltration of Rohingyas including yaba are taking place through that point of the border.
