4 killed, including 3 officials of Atomic Energy Commission in road accident

The bodies of four people, including three officials of the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission, have been recovered in a three-way collision between a bus and a truck at Boliarpur in Savar. At least 35 passengers were injured in the incident.

The accident took place in the Boliarpur area of ​​Savar on Dhaka-Aricha road around 9:30 am on Sunday, June 05. The injured were rescued and admitted to various local hospitals.

The deceased have been identified as Kauser Ahmed Rabbi, engineer of Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission, Arifuzzaman, senior scientific officer, Puja Sarkar, scientific officer, and Rajib Hossain, driver of Atomic Energy Commission staff bus. It is learned that the bus was on the Rayerbag route.

According to the highway police, a passenger bus of Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission collided with a passenger bus at Boliarpur area of ​​Savar on Dhaka-Aricha road around 9:30 am. A Dhaka-bound truck hit the front of the bus again.

Savar Fire Service senior station officer Nurul Islam said the incident took place around 9:30 am. Upon receiving the news, our units rushed to the spot, recovered the bodies of the two, and sent them to the hospital. About 35-40 people were injured in the incident.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Savar Highway Police Station Atiqur Rahman told that the bodies of the deceased have been recovered. At the same time, with the help of the fire service, efforts are being made to rescue the transport involved in the accident. The injured have been admitted to different hospitals.
