The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained Rohingya man with 5 lakh pieces Yaba in a raid in Cox's Bazar.

According to RAB-15, the Yaba was seized from the Balukhali Panbazar Bridge area of ​​Ukhia Upazila of Cox's Bazar district at 10:30 pm on Sunday.

Major Sheikh Yusuf Ahmed, CPC Commander of RAB-15 in Cox's Bazar, said, Drug smuggling activities can be noticed in the area from 7 pm. At around 10:30 pm, RAB signaled them to stop while smuggling a sack full of Yaba to an easy bike. Although some of them managed to escape at that time, it was possible to arrest one of them.

He further said, “Detained Syedul Amin (24) is the son of Mohammad Amin of Rohingya Camp No. 8 in Balukhali. During preliminary interrogation, he admitted that he and his accomplices had been smuggling Yaba on a regular basis. 5 lakh pieces of Yaba were found in the seized sacks.

Ahmed Sanjur Morshed, officer-in-charge of Ukhia police station, told: The accused will be sent to court today.
