Turkey's Rumeysa Gelgi has been named the world's longest-living woman by Guinness World Records.

Her height is 215.16 centimeters or 7 feet zero point 7 inches.

According to a report by CNN, a rare disease called Weaver syndrome is the cause of this height in Gelgi.

Earlier, in 2014, Gelgi was recorded as the tallest teenage woman.

"Every difficulty can be a boon for you," said Gelgi.

"So accept yourself as you are. Have confidence in yourself and try your best."

Sultan Kosen is the tallest living man in the world. His height is 251 centimeters or 8 feet 2.8 inches. Coincidentally, he is also a resident of Turkey.

In accordance with the Guinness Book of World Records, this is a rare case.

This happened back in 2009. China's Bao Xishun set the record with a height of 236 centimeters or 7 feet 8.95 inches and Yao Defen with a height of 233.3 centimeters or 7 feet 7.85 inches.

Gelgi now holds the record for the longest living woman, surpassing Yao Defen.

Zeng Jinlian of Hunan Province, China, has become the tallest woman ever. The woman, who died in February 1982, was 246.3 cm or 8 feet, 1 inch tall.
