Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has accused Russia of committing the worst war crimes since World War II and called for an international inquiry.

In a speech to the UN Security Council, he outlined a list of alleged Russian atrocities.

Presenting a video, he said civilians were being shot in the streets and crushed to death by tank pressure.

He noted that the bodies of civilians had been found on the streets in Bucha near Kyiv and warned that the incident would be repeated.

Russia has denied the allegations in a statement issued Friday stating "Similar, baseless allegations concerning Russia's intelligence have been made more than once.

Meanwhile, the European Union has proposed another round of sanctions against Russia, including coal imports.

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson has posted a video on Facebook targeting the people of Russia, alleging that their forces are committing atrocities.
