The film 'Saturday Afternoon' directed by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki  in the shadow of the militant attack on the Holey Artisan Bakery in Gulshan. The film has been stuck on the censor board for the past two years. The director of the film expressed his regret through social media handle.

Farooki wrote in a post, 'It has been two years since the film was banned! May Allah grant peace to the souls of all those who are behind this ban! Amen!'

Iftekhar Nowshad, one of the members of the censor board, said that since the film was based on the Holey Artisan attack in Gulshan, it would be detrimental if it is displayed outside the country. The film may have hurt Bangladesh commercially as well. This can create a backlash in the minds of foreigners which will hinder investment in our country.
