Since intervening in the war in Yemen in 2015, Saudi Arabia has often dealt with a variety of missiles and drone strikes from neighboring countries. Riyadh claims that the attacks were carried out by Yemen's Iranian-backed Houthi rebels.
The Saudi-led coalition, which has been embroiled in a war with the Yemeni government since last Saturday, said an improvised explosive device heading towards Riyadh had been repelled. The Houthi rebels, however, claim they have nothing to do with it. Riyadh's King Khaled International Airport Authority said several flights had been delayed since Saturday's incident.
