Warning signal number three at seaport

Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra seaports have been asked to display local warning signal number three. Fishing boats and trawlers stationed in the North Bay have been asked to proceed cautiously near the coast until further notice.

According to the meteorological office, there is an excess of air pressure difference in the North Bay and coastal areas of Bangladesh. As a result, strong winds can blow over the coastal areas of Bangladesh, North Bay of Bengal, and seaports.

The weather forecast for the next 24 hours from Monday morning said that most parts of Khulna and Barisal divisions; Chattogram, Rajshahi, and Dhaka divisions in many places and Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions

In some places, there may be light to moderate rain or thundershowers with temporary gusts. There may also be moderate to very heavy rainfall in some parts of the southern part of the country. The weather conditions for the next three days said that the tendency of rainfall may decrease towards the end of this period.

Today, the weather forecast for the inland river ports of the country is Rangpur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogra, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Jessore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, and Cox's Bazar. There may be temporary gusts or gusts of wind or thunderstorms at 45 to 60 kmph from the east. River ports in these areas have been asked to display the number one warning signal.

Meanwhile, Bhola has received the maximum rainfall of 44 mm in the last 24 hours till 6 am today.

Besides, Patuakhali received 40 mm of rain, Gopalganj 37 mm, Maijdi Court 36 mm, Barisal 34 mm, Jessore 30 mm, and Mongla and Teknaf 24 mm. The meteorological office said there was little rain in Dhaka at that time.

In addition, day and night temperatures across the country can drop by one to two degrees Celsius.
