Prominent fiction writer and translator Sheikh Abdul Hakim is no more. He breathed his last at Mothertech's home in the capital on Saturday, August 28 at around 1pm.

Family sources confirmed the matter.

He is the author of about 260 books in the famous detective series 'Masud Rana' of Seba Prakashan. However, according to the rules, the series has been published in the name of Kazi Anwar Hossain.

Apart from 'Masud Rana', the author has gifted books of various tastes including romantic and adventure.

Last year, Sheikh Abdul Hakim came to discuss in copyright issue of 260 books of Masud Rana. Although the copyright office ruled in his favour at that time, the matter is still pending after the appeal of Kazi Anwar Hossain.
