Another 54 lakh sinopharm vaccine arrive from China

Another 54 lakh one thousand 350 dose corona vaccine consignment of Sinoform purchased from China has arrived in the country. The vaccines arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight at 2 am on Friday, September 17.

Assistant Director of the Department of Health working at Shahjalal International Airport Shahriar Sajjad and other officials received the invoice.

The vaccine was sent to the repository of Beximco Pharmaceuticals in Tongi for storage.

On Saturday, September 18 in the morning Shahriar Sajjad confirmed the information.

Earlier, China had given 11 lakh vaccines to Bangladesh in two phases. They gave five lakh doses in the first phase and six lakh doses in the second phase.

On July 3, the first consignment of 20 lakh commercially purchased vaccines arrived in the country. In the second phase on July 17, another 20 lakh vaccines were received. Then on July 30 another 30 lakh vaccines came.

Meanwhile, on August 10, for the first time, 1.7 million vaccines came from China under COVAX. In the second phase, on August 11, another 17 lakh 70 vaccines came to Dhaka.

The last time 54 lakh doses of Sinopharm vaccine came to Dhaka was on September 10. In all, two crores 35 lakh 61 thousand 801 doses of Sinopharm vaccine have arrived in the country from China.
