Situation will be dire
Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque said coronavirus infections were on the rise, adding that the situation in the country would worsen if the government's 11 restrictions are not complied with. Then we will be forced to go to lockdown.

However, the country will be harmed economically if the lockdown is imposed, we do not want to go there, we want everyone to follow the health rules.

He was speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of the City Scan and Dialysis Unit at the 250-bed General Hospital in Manikganj on Saturday, January 15.

The minister said Corona is very upward. Yesterday, about 4,400 people were infected with corona and its percentage exceeded 13%. The number of infected patients is increasing at the rate of one to three percent every day.

And the increase in this rate is very alarming. At present about 1% of people need ICU and if the number of patients continues to increase at this rate, there will be no space in the hospital.
