Two youths, Enamul and Russell, were killed in a chase and shootout with police and snatchers in the capital's Khilkhet.

The incident took place on Tuesday, May 18 at around 2.30 am. The operation was carried out by the Detective Branch (DB) of the police and Khilkhet police to prevent armed robbery with CNG autorickshaws.

DMP's Gulshan Intelligence Division Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mashiur Rahman said this on Tuesday, May 18 in the morning.

After the shelling stopped, police, with the help of locals, arrested two hijackers, Nayan and Yamin, with a CNG. When they were taken to Dhaka Medical College (DMC) Hospital from the spot, the on-duty doctor declared them dead.

Police recovered the CNG autorickshaw, a foreign pistol, a magazine loaded with two rounds of ammunition, an old sharp knife with a wooden butt, a green towel, nine mobile phones, 16 Yaba tablets, a lighter and TK. 5,000 in cash.
