Special flights to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar and Singapore will be launched soon to facilitate expatriate workers during the lockdown. The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by the foreign secretary on Wednesday, April 14.

The Civil Aviation Authority will confirm the detailed action plan on the launch of the flight tomorrow.

It is the responsibility of the recruiting agencies to bring the foreign passengers to the airport in compliance with the Corona Negative Certificate. Expatriate workers can only come to the country with a Covid Negative Certificate by obtaining a clearance from the concerned Bangladesh Mission in case of emergency and complying with the quarantine conditions applicable in the country.

The meeting was attended by secretaries of the Prime Minister's Office, Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment and Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Chairman of Civil Aviation, MD of Biman and other senior officials.
