Storm warning in 7 divisions, number 2 naval warning signal

Extreme levels of rainfall are expected in seven parts of the country. At the same time, the meteorological department said that the storm could move at a speed of 60 to 80 kmph over 16 districts.

River ports in these areas have been asked to display the number two naval warning signal.

The weather forecast for the inland river ports of the country from 10 pm on Friday to 9 am tomorrow is 60 to 80 kilometers per hour from west or northwest over Rangpur, Dinajpur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogra, Tangail, Mymensingh, and Sylhet regions.

Temporary gusts of wind with heavy rain or thunderstorms may occur. River ports in these seven divisions have been asked to display the number two naval warning signal.

According to the forecast, winds or thunderstorms with a speed of 45 to 60 kmph from the west or north-west of the country may blow temporarily. The river ports in these areas have been asked to display the number one warning signal.

Meanwhile, another forecast from the Meteorological Department said that the light pressure near the coast of Andhra Pradesh and adjoining areas of neighboring India has shifted to the west and has become insignificant.

As a result, day and night temperatures across the country may remain almost unchanged until Saturday evening.
