The Bangladesh Meteorological Department said that storms and rains may continue in different parts of the country on Sunday as in the past few days. The Department has asked inland river ports to show warning signal No. 1 for fear of a maximum of 60 km of storm surge.

Heavy rain fell in the Rangpur division on Saturday, April 2 from 6 am to Sunday, April 3 at 6 am. The highest rainfall of 86 mm was recorded at Rajarhat in Kurigram.

Besides, Dimla in Nilphamari received 61, Tentulia in Panchagarh 18, Rangpur 7, and Syedpur received light rain, the meteorological department said.

The month of Ramadan has started at the same time. For the time being, meteorologists think that the weather for a few days will not be difficult for the people.

The meteorologist Bazlur Rashid said that in some places of Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions and in one or two places of Rajshahi, Dhaka, and Chattogram divisions there may be temporary gusts of wind or rain with thunder. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will be mostly dry with temporary partial clouds.

During this time, day and night temperatures across the country may remain almost unchanged, said the meteorologist.

The lowest temperature in the country on Sunday was 21 degrees Celsius in Dimla Upazila. The maximum temperature on Saturday was 35 degrees Celsius in Rangamati.
