Storm-Rain may increase in different parts of country

The meteorological department has said that the tendency of storm and rain may increase in different parts of the country in the next two days. Meanwhile, there has been a gust of wind with clouds in the sky of Dhaka since Sunday morning. The heat has increased due to low rainfall.

Meteorologist AKM Nazmul Haque said that in the next 24 hours from 9 am on Sunday, some places in Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and one or two places in Rangpur division including Kishoreganj and Brahmanbaria districts may experience showers or thundershowers with temporary gusts or strong winds. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will be mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy skies.

The meteorologist also said that day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country at this time.

Besides, mild heat wave is blowing over Rajshahi, Pabna and Jessore region and it may continue. Rain or thunderstorms are likely to increase in the next 72 hours.

The lowest temperature in the country on Sunday morning was in Sylhet, 19.5 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature was 38.3 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi.
