Suicide Car Bombing
At least 9 people, including a woman, have been killed in a suicide bombing in Somalia. 9 people were wounded in an attack targeting security forces in the capital, Mogadishu, on Saturday, July 10.

The condition of many injured is serious. Doctors fear the death toll could rise. According to the country's state media, the suicide attack was carried out with the intention of killing a senior police officer named Farhan Karol. Fortunately, he survived.

Security has been beefed up at the scene since the attack. So far no one has claimed responsibility for the attack. However, police claimed that the extremist group Al-Shabab carried out the attack.

The terrorist group often carries out such attacks in Somalia. Their goal is to overthrow the government and seize power. A bomb blast near the northern city of Mosul has killed at least 10 Iraqi people.
