Truck-motorcycle collision in Sylhet
Two people have been killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a motorcycle at Jaflong in Gowainghat Upazila of Sylhet.
The incident took place in the Guchhogram area of Jaflong on Friday afternoon.
The deceased identified as Yusuf Ali and Sohail Ahmed of Chandpur district headquarters.
However, their details are not yet known.
Gowainghat Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Parimal Chandra Dev confirmed this.
He said, 'A total of 6 friends including 2 killed people came to visit Jaflong on 3 motorcycles.
One died on the spot and another died at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.
When a truck came from the opposite direction and hit the motorcycle while they were returning from the trip.
The body was recovered and sent to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital, the police official said.
