Thundershowers in different parts of country, Temperature may rise

The meteorological office said day and night temperatures could rise across the country in the next three days.

According to the meteorological office, daytime temperatures may remain unchanged across the country today and nighttime temperatures may rise slightly.

Netrokona recorded a low of 16.5 degrees Celsius today. Yesterday's maximum temperature was 35 degrees Celsius in Khulna and Mongla.

The weather forecast for the next 24 hours from this morning has said that some places in Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and one or two places in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal and Chattogram divisions may experience thundershowers with temporary gusts or strong winds. As well as scattered hailstorms anywhere in the country may occur.

In the last 24 hours till 6 am today, maximum rainfall of 26 mm has been recorded in Nikli.

The forecast further states that an additional portion of the western light pressure is located in and around West Bengal, the foothills of the Himalayas. The normal light pressure of the season is located in the South Bay.
