The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the police has arrested another person named Parvez Prakash Babu (20) in the Feni temple-mandapa attack and vandalism case.

The investigation officer of the case and CID sub-inspector (SI) Humayun Kabir confirmed the matter on Sunday morning.

He said Parvez's home is in Kamarchar village of Muradnagar Upazila of Cumilla. His father's name is Abdur Rahman. However, he lives in East Ukilpara of Feni town. He was arrested on Saturday night. He will be taken to the Feni Judicial Magistrate's Court today. Parvez will be remanded by the police for questioning.

According to the police, the three accused arrested in the case of attack and vandalism of temples and shops in Feni on October 16 testified in the Feni court. Parvez's name came up there. Parvez has been arrested after verifying the veracity of that information. During preliminary interrogation, he confessed to being involved in vandalism.

A total of four cases have been filed with the Feni Model Police Station by the police, RAB, and the temple committee in connection with the attack, vandalism, and looting of two Kali temples and shops on the night of October 16.

So far 25 people have been arrested in these cases. Five of them testified in court. CID is investigating 2 out of 4 cases.
